LEGAL NOTICE • PUBLIC NOTICE City of Lorain, Ohio Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) FY 2026 Public Service and Public Facility Improvements Funding The City of Lorain’s Public Service Programs and Public Facility Improvements Programs are supported through the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. These funding programs allow the City of Lorain to support and enhance the programs and public facilities, providing services that address various needs in our community. The City of Lorain, Department of Building, Housing and Planning, is accepting Public Service and Public Facility Improvements applications from qualified nonprofit organizations interested in supporting one or more of the needs outlined in the City’s Five-Year Consolidated Plan (Con Plan) 2025 - 2029. The Con Plan can be found on the City of Lorain’s website (cityoflorain.org). This funding is a reimbursable grant, and all grantees must be able to utilize the funding within a year of receiving the funds. Applications are available on the City’s website (cityoflorain.org), in the office, and will be made available during the information sessions. APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE NOW! Applications are due by July 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM The City of Lorain will be hosting an information workshop that will go over the eligibility requirements, intended goals, the application, and the grant process for both Public Service and Public Facility Improvements funding.
