Legal Notice ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Village of Middlefield, Ohio Wastewater Treatment Plant Tertiary Filter Improvements Village of Middlefield (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Wastewater Treatment Plant Tertiary Filter Improvements Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the office of the Village Administrator located at Village of Middlefield Municipal Center, 14860 North State Avenue, Middlefield, Ohio 44602, until Friday April 24, 2026, at 12:00 Noon local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements that include removal of three existing travelling bridge filters and one existing UV disinfection equipment and replacement with four new cloth disk filtersand a new UV disinfection system. The Work will require structural, building and piping modifications for installation of the proposed equipment, minor site work and associated electrical modifications. Owner anticipates that the Project’s total bid price will be approximately $4,000,000.00. The Project has an expected duration of 450 days. Bid Security: Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Obtaining the Bidding Documents: The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Arcadis U.S., Inc. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Village of Middlefield Municipal Center, 14860 North State Avenue, Middlefield, Ohio 44602 on Mondays through Fridays during normal business hours. Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the agent of Issuing Office as described below. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by either calling (216-281-1234) or emailing (cleveland.csr@e-arc.com) the agent of the Issuing Office, ARC Document Solutions, 3666 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115. Prospective Bidders must register with ARC Document Solutions as a plan holder and must purchase a set of printed Bidding Documents. Cost, not including tax or shipping, for each set of Bid Documents is $275.00. The cost of each set of bid documents includes project manual, drawings, future addenda (if any), and electronic copies (PDF files on portable media) of existing reference drawings identified in Supplementary Conditions SC.5.03.F. This cost does not include shipping of the original bid documents. Cost for shipping expenses of the original bid documents would be added to the listed fee above. Any addenda issued during bidding period will be transmitted electronically to plan holders. Bidding documents are sold as complete sets; no partial or incomplete sets can be purchased. After securing the printed copies, at bidder’s choice, electronic copies of the Bidding Documents can be furnished for use by the bidders. No refund will be allowed for the return of any bidding documents at any time. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated agent of the Issuing Office. Pre-bid Conference: A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Village of Middlefield Municipal Center, 14860 North State Avenue, Middlefield, Ohio 44602. The conference will be followed by a site visit to the wastewater treatment plant site. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required. Statutory Requirements: Laws, regulations and outside funding requirements, if any, will be referenced in the Instructions to Bidders (ITB) and the text of each will be attached to Section 00 73 73 which will be a Contract Document.
