Legal Notice Form No. 124 Prescribed by the Secretary of State (01-23) Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Education of Lorain City School District of Lorain, Ohio, passed on the 14th day of July, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 2025 the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, for the benefit of Lorain City School District for the purpose of current expenses. Tax being a renewal of a tax of 23.85 mills at a rate not exceeding 23.85 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $338 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for a continuing period of time. The estimated annual collections of this levy is $11,006,263. The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election day.
