Legal Notice INVITATION TO BID Depository Contract The Mentor Public Library invites banking institutions that maintain an office in Mentor, Ohio and who possess the capability and expertise to provide depository and various banking services for the Library to submit proposals for the provision of those services. The selected institution shall be designated as the Library’s depository for the five year period commencing August 20, 2026 and ending August 19, 2031. The Library’s current agreement expires on August 19, 2026. The institution selected must be able to meet the depository and collateral requirements as prescribed in the Ohio Revised Code 135 and the Investment Policy of Mentor Public Library for financial institution holding active funds of a public entity. The Library currently maintains a checking account, a savings account, and a separate payroll checking account. Please indicate the target balance required to be maintained in the checking account with an emphasis on this balance to minimize or eliminate service charges. Applications for interim funds are also welcome. It is estimated that the probable maximum amount of interim and/or active deposits of public monies subject to the deposit therein at any time during the period of designation will be 5 million dollars ($5,000,000) for operating purposes. Eligible financial institutions should make application in writing no later than 12:00 noon Friday, July 24, 2026 to Mentor Public Library, 8215 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH 44060 ATTN: Colleen Snyder for such public deposits as they desire to receive and have on deposit at any time. Please include a financial statement meeting the requirements of Ohio Revised Code 135.
