Legal Notice NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the City of Avon Lake (the City) until July 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at City Hall, 150 Avon Belden Road, Avon, Ohio 44012, and will be opened and read publicly immediately thereafter, for the following project: Walker Road Rehabilitation Phase 6 City of Avon Lake Lorain County, Ohio In accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by Bramhall Engineering and Surveying Company (the Engineer), the project consists of pavement milling, pavement and subgrade repairs, and placement of 3” of asphalt pavement for approximately 2,450 L.F. of Walker Road, from Jaycox Road to Lear Road. The project will also include curb ramp replacement, pavement striping, linear grading and restoration and maintenance of traffic. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from City of Avon Lake, Ohio at 150 Avon Belden Road beginning June 18, 2026 at 9:00 AM and during regular business hours, thereafter. Cost of Contract Documents are Sixty Dollars ($60.00). Checks are to be made payable to the City of Avon Lake and are non-refundable. There will be no Pre-Bid Meeting. The City of Avon Lake is a governmental agency, exempt from any Local, State and Federal sales taxes. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, service and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative code Chapter 123 is required. The owner intends and requires that the project be completed by no later than October 30, 2026. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Lorain County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, (614) 644-2239. If the City determines to award the contract, the City will award it based on the lowest and best bid as determined in the discretion of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
