Legal Notice PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Village of Middlefield Planning and Zoning Commission: Tuesday April 7, 2026 6:00 p.m. Middlefield Municipal Center 14860 North State Street Middlefield, Ohio To hear a Conditional Use and Variance Request filed by Williams Building Group, Inc, agent for the proposed owner/operator: Geauga Self Storage, LLC. Said property PPN 19-072865 with access to Tare Creek Parkway is located in a GC - General Commercial District. Applicant proposes a self-storage unit center on the 5.27-acre site. Self-Storage Units are not a permitted use in a GC-General Commercial District per 1153.04 and therefore must apply for a conditional use requiring review by the Planning Commission under 1135.03 General Standards for Conditional Uses, as prescribed in The Village of Middlefield Zoning Ordinance. Additionally, a variance per 1101.04 is being applied as the owner/applicant is proposing a 65% lot coverage where a maximum of 60% is permitted in a GC - General Commercial District per 1155.01 Schedule of District Dimension and Area Requirements.
