Legal Notice PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Village of Middlefield Planning and Zoning Commission: Tuesday, June 9, 2026 6:00 p.m. Middlefield Municipal Center 14860 North State Street Middlefield, Ohio 1) To hear an appeal for signage variance request filed by Sherpa Development Corporation- E.J. Watson, CFO via Scott Rives of Hartville, Ohio for The Hartville Hardware property located at 15260 Kinsman Road PPN 19-072931. Said property is located in an GC- General Commercial District. This is a variance from 1165.05 sizes (height and Square Feet), and 1165.02 Definitions which states that an electronic reader board is permitted only as a ground sign. Applicant proposes a 102 SF monument sign composed of a 59.5 SF lower digital display and 42.465 of SF for the upper ID sign. Variance would be for a total of 102 SF of signage, where 32 SF is permitted, a 22’ high sign where 8’-0” is permitted and the installation of a reader board onto the monument sign. All interested persons are encouraged to make public comment concerning this variance and conditional use request at the hearing provided.
