Legal Notice Public Notice Laketran, a political subdivision of the State of Ohio created pursuant to Section 306.30 through 306.71 of the Ohio Revised Code, intends to submit a proposal for a capital grant under the provision of 49 USC Section 5310 of the Federal Transit Act to provide transportation service for the elderly and disabled within Lake County. The grant proposal will request replacement vehicles for Dial-a-Ride. It is projected that 260,000 riders will use Dial-a-Ride annually for various activities, including but not limited to transportation to work, medical appointments, and senior centers. Laketran invites comments and proposals from all interested public, private and paratransit operators including taxi operators, for the provision of transportation service to the elderly and disabled within our service area.
