Legal Notice SECTION 00 1113 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Contractors are invited to bid on Mentor Fire Station No. 3, 8091 Plaza Boulevard, Mentor Ohio 44060 as described in the Drawings and Specifications dated April 10, 2026, as prepared by: App Architecture 615 Woodside Drive; Englewood, Ohio 45322 Phone number: (937) 836-8898 Tim.bement@app-arch.com Doug.Williams@app-arch.com A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on April 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the City Hall at 8500 Civic Center Blvd, Mentor, Ohio 44060. Substitution requests will be accepted until April 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Project related questions will be accepted until May 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The Project consists of a new ground up 21,116 SF single story fire station with training tower at the corner of Plaza Boulevard and Johnnycake Ridge Road. Plans and specifications will be available to download from App Architecture’s ShareFile site. Email your request to bids@app-arch.com and a link will be sent with downloading instructions. Plans will also be on file with Dodge Data. Sealed Bids will be received by The City of Mentor at the City Hall located at 8500 Civic Center Blvd, Mentor, Ohio 44060, on May 15, 2026, at the purchasing department to the attention of Kyle Kasky up until 1:00 PM Local Standard Time. At that time, Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud for consideration by the Owner. All Bids are required to remain firm for a period of 60 days after the opening date. A certified check or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and satisfactory Surety Company in the amount of 10% of the Bid made payable to The City of Mentor, shall accompany each bid. Successful Bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the forms prescribed in O.R.C. Sections 153.57 and 153.571. Bidders must comply with Ohio’s prevailing wage laws (O.R.C. 4115) and wage rates established pursuant to that law for Montgomery County as determined by the Ohio Division of Commerce’s Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration. Additionally, bidders are required to submit an AIA A305 Contractor’s Qualification Statement with their bids and must demonstrate successful experience in constructing projects of similar size. Additional consideration will be given to companies who have constructed a fire station within the last 10 years. The City of Mentor will award the Project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; however, the City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid received and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of the bidder. Any bid received after the above referenced time and date will be returned to the submitter unopened.
