Legal Notice Voter Registration Deadline for the November 4, 2025 General Election Notice is hereby given by the Lake County Board of Elections that the deadline to register to vote for the November 4, 2025 General Election is October 6, 2025. You may register at the Lake County Board of Elections, 105 Main St., Suite 107, Painesville, OH 44077. Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. -4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Board of Elections will also remain open until 9:00 p.m. on the close of registration, October 6, 2025. Voter registration forms are available at the following locations: 1. The office of the Secretary of State or any of the 88 county boards of elections. 2. The office of any deputy registrar of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. 3. Offices of designated agencies that provide public assistance or disability programs. 4. Public libraries. 5. Public high schools or vocational schools. 6. Office of a County Treasurer. 7. Ohio’s Secure Online Voter Registration website at: olvr.ohiosos.gov If a person is already registered to vote within the State of Ohio and wishes to change their name and/or address to Lake County, they may do so at the Lake County Board of Elections up to and including Election Day. On Election Day, you may report the change and vote at the Board of Elections office or at the polling place in the precinct in which your new voting address is located. New voter registrants and registrants seeking to update their address may do so on Ohio’s Online Voter Registration System by providing their Ohio driver’s license or Ohio identification card number; name; date of birth; address; and, the last four digits of their social security number. Persons who wish to register by mail may call, write or email the Board of Elections and request forms to be mailed to them. These forms must be completed and returned to the Board of Elections by the deadline listed above. You are qualified to register to vote in Ohio if you meet all the following requirements: 1. You are a citizen of the United States. 2. You will be at least 18 years old on or before the day of the general election. 3. You will be a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days immediately before the election in which you want to vote. 4. You are not incarcerated (in prison) for a felony conviction under the laws of this state, another state or the United States. 5. You have not been declared incompetent for voting purposes by a probate court. 6. You have not been permanently disfranchised for violations of the election laws.
