PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that on the 7th of November and the 14th of November 2025, the Delinquent Land Tax List and Duplicate, and the Manufactured Home Delinquent Tax List and Duplicate of Lake County will be published as provided by Law, Ohio Revised Code 5721, 323 and 4506. Section 5721 defines “delinquent lands” to be those that are unpaid at second half closing rather than those that have missed two consecutive payments as under previous law. Section 4506 defines “delinquent manufactured homes” to be those that have current year taxes unpaid at second half closing, have taxes that remain unpaid from prior years, or have unpaid tax penalties that have been assessed. A 10% penalty and interest shall be added to each amount charged against the unpaid balances of any half of the collection of current taxes on the duplicate. Foreclosure or forfeiture may be forestalled by paying delinquent taxes in full at the County Treasurer’s Office or by entering into a payment plan in accordance with Section 323.31, Ohio Revised Code. According to Section 323.132, Ohio Revised Code, the taxpayer may pay and the Treasurer may accept the full amount of delinquent taxes charged against any entry of real property without having to pay at the same time a payment of any current taxes that are due and payable. November 3rd 2025 2:00 p.m. - Last day for delinquent property owners to pay in full and remove their names from the first publication of delinquent lands. November 10th 2025 2:00 p.m. - Last day for delinquent property owners to pay in full and remove their names from the second publication of delinquent lands.
